Shepherd-Fairview
 Good Shepherd-Fairview Home has a 14 bed
rehabilitation unit, dedicated solely to meeting the needs of people
requiring rehabilitation services. It is conveniently located on the main
floor, just steps from the front door and lobby. The therapy suite, a
hub of activity, is on the unit. These features, along with a caring
staff, combine to make a pleasant environment while individuals
prepare to return to their homes.
Our therapy staff provides physical, occupational
and speech therapies, tailored to meet each person’s needs. The
therapists work to help rehab residents achieve their highest level of
independence. Individuals receive the maximum amount of therapy that
they can safely and comfortably tolerate. Family and physicians are
also closely involved.
Good Shepherd-Fairview’s rehabilitation program
is unique. In addition to traditional approaches, the therapists use
state-of-the-art strength training equipment, as well as
cardiovascular equipment to increase endurance.
The unit
has two private rooms and six semi-private rooms. Each room is
comfortably furnished and has its own bathroom. The amenities include
televisions with cable access and telephones with local service for a
nominal fee. Several computers with internet service and e-mail are
also available.
